\n We feel it is really important, in addition to providing you with an excellent service, that you know what you will pay for the service you expect to receive.\n <\/p>\n

In the case of a straightforward, non-contested application.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Application to vary an existing Premises Licence<\/td>\n\u00a3950.00 plus \u00a3190.00 vat = \u00a31140.00 total<\/td>\nThe process could take anywhere between 6 to 12 weeks, but could take considerably longer depending on the specific factors applicable to the matter.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

We will always advise you immediately about any variance and discuss the potential impact on price before any additional charges are incurred.<\/p>\n

In addition, you will need to pay the following disbursements which are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Disbursements<\/h2>\n

Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to other people.<\/p>\n

The likely disbursements in most licensing cases are as follows:<\/p>\n

  • Fees for newspaper advert are likely to be \u00a3350.00 \u2013 \u00a3650.00 (inclusive of any VAT).<\/li>\n
  • The application fee payable to the local authority is likely to be in the region of \u00a3190.00, but these are set by individual authorities and can vary. That fee will not attract VAT.<\/li>\n
  • We will let you know from the outset of such fees for you to come to a decision before you instruct us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Work We Will Do<\/h3>\n

    • Identify the local authority<\/li>\n
    • Accurately identify the type of application you will require<\/li>\n
    • Obtain the relevant documents required to make the application<\/li>\n
    • Complete the electronic or paper-based application to the local authority<\/li>\n
    • Correspond and negotiate with the local authorities your goals to be reflected in the licence<\/li>\n
    • Await receipt of the licence application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Potential Additional Work and Fees<\/h3>\n

      Please note if there are objections and the matter proceeds to a Licensing Sub-committee, then we will usually instruct counsel to represent you at the hearing.<\/p>\n

      If that is necessary, Counsels fees will be incurred as an additional disbursement.<\/p>\n

      • We will agree the identity of Counsel with you before Counsel is instructed and let you know the likely amount of those Counsels Fees.<\/li>\n
      • Typical range: \u00a3750 \u2013 \u00a31500 exclusive of VAT.<\/li>\n
      • Counsels Fees ordinarily (but do not always) attract VAT.<\/li>\n
      • Any additional fees of our firm will be charged at our hourly rate and will attract VAT.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Timescales<\/h3>\n

        Typically, obtaining the licence takes between 4 to 16 weeks, but can be considerably longer if there are issues the local authority wish to raise an objection towards.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
